The solar eclipse in Aries asks: What’s ready to end?

We’ve reached a turning point.

Today is the new moon solar eclipse in Aries. But this isn’t just any Aries New Moon. It’s the final eclipse in a chapter that began all the way back in April 2023 (the exact date of that Aries solar eclipse was April 20). It marked the start of a cosmic story arc that’s been unfolding in the Aries area of your birth chart for nearly two years.

And now we’re nearing the end of that story.

The final page.

The last push.

Solar eclipses bring disruption. They shake things loose. The paradox is that they illuminate by obscuring. But eclipses aren’t just endings—they’re cosmic course correctors. And this one is particularly complex.

It’s a new moon, typically a time for planting seeds and fresh beginnings. And it’s close to the North Node (though the North Node is in Pisces—that’s why this is only a partial eclipse), which usually propels us toward growth, striving, and insatiable desire. You may feel the impulse to start something, to charge ahead Aries-style… but at the same time, there’s actually a strong undercurrent of letting go.

This isn’t a beginning so much as a threshold.

The Aries eclipses are ending.

That means all the extra energy and focus you’ve had in the Aries area of your birth chart is softening and releasing. The nodal axis of Pisces and Virgo will now begin to take the lead.

What have you been building, battling, or obsessively pursuing in the Aries area of your life?

Think back to what began around April 2023.

What did you commit to, chase after, or pour your energy into?

What have you been trying to become?

Now ask:

✨ What’s complete?

✨ What’s no longer sustainable?

✨ What are you ready to release so you can focus your energy on other things?

Mars, the ruler of Aries, is currently in Cancer (thankfully only for a little bit longer—who’s ready for this transit and retrograde cycle to end?!), and is the ruler of this eclipse. Mars in Cancer is already moody and protective, and with the extra emphasis of the Moon covering the Sun, all of the Moon’s attributes—feelings, emotions, intuition, motivation, energy levels—might be just as chaotic or disruptive as what’s going on in the Aries area of your birth chart.

You might find yourself acting from intuition, from heartache, or from the quiet voice inside that whispers: it’s time.

This eclipse may feel like a final test or challenge—the last bump in a two-year journey of redefining how you show up in the world. It’s both the closing of a chapter and the beginning of a quieter, steadier rhythm in the Aries area of your life. Not because you’ve given up, but because you’ve evolved.

Some obsessions aren’t meant to be sustained.

Some paths need to be explored so you can see where they don’t lead.

And some stories deserve a full stop—not because they failed, but because they’re finished.

So take a moment to pause and ask yourself:

✨ What am I ready to finish?

✨ What has run its course in the Aries part of my chart?

✨ What fierce energy have I been carrying that I can now lay down?

You don’t need all the answers now. Just a willingness to release the grip.

Because what comes next?

That’s a whole new story…

5 Reflection prompts to guide you during this eclipse

What began for me around April 2023 that now feels ready to end, evolve, or be released? Trace the arc of the story. What has the journey been, and where am I now?

Where in my life have I been pushing, striving, or obsessing—and is it time to soften or let go? Notice if effort has turned into exhaustion.

What does leadership mean to me now, and how has that definition changed over the past two years? Consider how your sense of authority, confidence, or identity has shifted.

How am I being invited to act from emotion, intuition, or heart—rather than logic or force? What protective instincts or inner knowing are guiding me now?

If I fully trusted that this chapter is closing for a reason, what space does that create for something new? Dream into the emptiness—what might want to emerge?
